Busy Bees Security Solutions is the commercial locksmith and high-end security solutions division of Busy Bees Locks & Keys Inc., a family-owned and operated locksmith company serving San Diego County and Southwestern Riverside County since 2005.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Jerry and Jennifer Schaffer, Busy Bees began as a small business with a simple mission: to provide reliable, professional locksmith services while prioritizing exceptional customer service.
Our Story
The idea for Busy Bees started when Jerry, while working at Ghirardelli Chocolate, discovered a passion for locksmithing after frequently rekeying store locks. With Jennifer’s unwavering support, he decided to turn that passion into a business. Together, they opened the first Busy Bees shop in Little Italy, San Diego.
What began as a one-person operation has grown into a thriving business with over 35 employees, five storefront locations, and a fleet of more than 20 service trucks. Despite our growth, we remain true to our roots as a local, family-run company dedicated to serving our community.
